On this program we experience how violin giant Ysaÿe builds with a wink on Bach's music for solo violin. We discover why opinions are so divided about Franck's Piano Quintet (tip: don't worry, it's beautiful!). And we meet the Iranian composer and pianist Ramin Amin Tafreshi, who wrote his three-part work to measure for the saxophone quartet that closes Monday, before unleashing an arrangement of Albéniz's flaming Asturias on you.
