About the Event
Candela needed a night of savage dancing to convince her childhood sweetheart Carmelo of her passion, but De Falla's fiery ballet El amor brujo on that theme captivated the audience from the very first moment. The Spanish-speaking Amsterdammers of the Dianto Reed Quintet bring pure magic to Schiermonnikoog with this masterpiece and with a new piece by their originally Iranian fellow townsman Ramin Amin Tafreshi. Also on the program: two romantic classics, in the experienced hands of some festival favourites. Ramin Amin Tafreshi ( 1992) Commissioned composition (world premiere) Manuel de Falla (1876 – 1946) El amor brujo (arr.
