About the Event
A musical ode to the tragic love story of Orpheus and Eurydice
The tragic love story of Orpheus and Eurydice has inspired countless artists over the centuries. Joost Willemze now tells this story on the harp in a theatrical concert.
Joost received his first harp lessons when he was seven years old at the Monastery in Woerden. He has now made his mark as a harpist. His unparalleled talent is evident from the first prizes he won at the Princess Christina Competition, the international harp competition in Porto and the Italian competition Suoni d'Arpa. In addition to his conservatory training, Joost also studied classical languages. For him, Orpheus is a dream performance in which he connects his love for music and Greek mythology.
This concert includes works by composers: Johannes Brahms, Marcel Tournier, Carlos Micháns, Benjamin Attahir, Luigi Rossi, C.W. Gluck, , Ramin Amin Tafreshi & Soheil Shayesteh and many…
